Today, PET is the number one recycled plastic. More importantly, it is infinitely recyclable. There are many advantages to using PET. In 2020, 6,530 million pounds of PET bottles were sold into the US marketplace. Unfortunately, only 1,736 million pounds, or 26.6 percent were collected through recycling programs. That means over 75 percent of usable, and recyclable material could have been re-born, versus the use and extraction of natural resources. According to Hartman Group Research, manufacturing rPET uses 91.6% less energy and water than manufacturing Virgin PET.

Circularix looks to bridge the recycling gap and allow for constant circularity of PET bottles.
